This weekend's project consisted of making a fence for my Peonies. They are well established, growing huge and covering the sidewalk that runs in front of them. This wouldn't be a problem except the beautiful flowers get trampled by dogs and children as they run through my garden.
So, I enlisted the help of my husband, Mike. Between the two of us, we crafted this fence that will do wonders in keeping my Peonies looking their best.

All it took was an eight foot long lattice, cut in half lengthwise, some scrap wood that we had laying around to make a frame, some screws, and some white paint.
Isn't it beautiful?
(The butterfly in the front is a project made by my oldest in Metals class at school. He sanded it and painted it for me this weekend too! What a kid!)
